Your Coda account is the individual account that you use to sign in and access Coda. Each Coda account is associated with a single user and a single email address. And you can use one account to access multiple workspaces.
Your Coda account settings houses all of your account-specific information. This includes your email address, your notification preferences, your API settings, and more. Continue reading to learn all about account settings, including what info you can find and what actions you can take.

Access your account settings
You can access your Coda account settings in one of two ways:
While logged into Coda, click on your avatar in the upper right corner of any page or doc, then select Account settings from the menu.
Go to coda.io/account
That’s it - you are now in your Coda account settings. Take a look around!
Contents of account settings
Your account settings contains lots of information and options, split into sections. We’ll cover those sections - including some of the modifications you can make in each - below.
ℹ️ Note that if you are a user on an Enterprise plan, some account settings may be managed by your organization admin.
Profile picture, name, and email
At the top of your account settings, you’ll see your profile image, name, and email address.

To change your account name, simply click on the pencil icon next to your name. If clicking on this pencil icon doesn’t work, this is likely because your Coda account is linked to a Google account. In this case, you can change your name in one of two ways:
Change your name directly in your Google account, then sign back into your Coda account to have the update reflected there.
Alternatively, you can stop using Google as your login method, and switch to email/password login. First, add a password to your Coda account (in the Security settings section), then sign out and log back into Coda via email/password, instead of via Google. Once that’s done, go into your Google account settings and remove Coda. You’ll then be able to change your name directly in your Coda account settings.
There isn’t any way to directly change the email address associated with your Coda account, but in some cases if you use a third-party identity provider (e.g. Google) Coda will sync email changes as long as the same third-party account is used to log in. As an alternative workaround, you can create a new Coda account with your new email, and invite this new Coda account to your current workspace(s). Then you can transfer ownership of your docs from your old account to your new one.
