Can I change my email?
We don't currently have a way to change the email address on a Coda account, as your identity is tied to your Coda account.
A common workaround is to create a new Coda account with your desired email address, then invite this new account as an editor to your docs. From there, you can transfer ownership of the docs to your new account via the steps detailed here.
What happens when my company changes email domains?
If you're simply changing domains at the Google account level and using the Google sign-in option for Coda, then this is a simple process. All that you'll need to do is make the domain change at the Google account level and continue using Google sign-in for Coda. Coda will recognize any domain changes for the next time you sign in.
However, if you are switching email hosting like migrating from Google to Microsoft, this is a bit more of an involved process. Since you are going to be using a different sign-in process that is no longer connected to your Google account, Coda will treat this as a completely new account. In this case, we recommend following these steps:
First add the new domain as an approved email domain in your Workspace via the steps detailed here.
Login using the new sign-in option with your new email. (In the above specific example, it would be Microsoft.)
Transfer all docs from your old domain/email's Coda account to your new email's Coda account via the steps detailed here.
Finally, if your old email is now obsolete, you can go ahead and delete your old email's Coda account. To delete your account, please go to coda.io/account and navigate to the bottom of the page and click on "Advanced Settings." From there, you'll be able to choose to delete your account. Once clicked, we'll send you an email asking for your confirmationāplease be sure to respond to that email to complete the process.
