Discover docs and Packs in the Gallery

Learn how you can find published docs and Packs in Coda's Gallery, plus how you can add your own

Updated over 3 weeks ago

In the Coda Gallery, you can find both docs and Packs that have been created by our wonderful maker community. When someone publishes a doc or a Pack to share with the world, it will then be available in the Gallery for other makers to find, explore, and use.

The Gallery takes our original publishing discoverability settings a step further to help Makers connect and share with each other. The platform allows anyone looking for inspiration, tools, tips, frameworks, or thought leadership to quickly and easily find the most relevant docs or Packs to fit their needs.

Find docs in the Gallery

To discover docs in the Gallery, first navigate to coda.io/gallery.

There are two main ways to find docs in the Gallery: browsing via categories or searching via the search bar.

You can browse docs by team (product, marketing, sales & auccess, etc.) scenario (planning, project management, meetings, etc.), theme (personal, travel, entertainment, etc.), and more. You’ll see these categories listed on the left-hand side of the Gallery, as well when you do a more granular search. These categories are determined by the doc's owner at the time they publish it. You can use categories to browse a subset of docs to find the one that's just right for you.

Looking for something more specific? The search bar will let you search for docs, categories, and Makers by name and keyword. You can even apply search filters and change the sorting of the results.

Publish your docs to the Gallery

As you take the steps to publish your doc, you can ensure your doc is displayed in the gallery by configuring the Discoverable to anyone setting to ON.

Note that we've also added the option to indicate a category for your doc when you publish it. Adding a category will help your doc be discovered when users search the Gallery. To make your doc as discoverable as possible, we also recommend making your doc's title and subtitle as accurate and descriptive as you can.

FAQs

How can I filter results when searching in the Gallery?

You can filter search results or browse in several different ways.

When you use the search bar, you’ll see several filter options:

  • At the top of the search results, you’ll see Packs, Docs, and Makers filters. You can quickly click one of these options to narrow your search to whatever type of content you’re looking for.

  • You can also filter by Uses a Pack or Coda Templates (for docs officially created by Coda).

  • Click into the dropdown in the upper-right to change how the results are sorted, including by Most copied, Popular, and Relevance.

If you’re just browsing available Packs and docs - rather than searching for keywords - there are some additional filter options:

  • Filter by Team, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, HR, Educations, etc.

  • You can narrow the results even further by filtering by Scenario, such as project management or AI work assistant.

  • Note that these filters can be layered on top of one another for even more precise browsing.

How can I use a doc I find in the Gallery?

Once you find the doc you’re looking for, we recommend creating a copy of the doc to get started. In most cases, when you open the doc from the Gallery, you’ll see a Copy doc button in the upper right. Click this button and follow the prompts to add the copy to your Coda workspace.

Note that some docs in the Gallery may not be copyable, depending on the preferences of the doc owner. In this case, you will not see a Copy doc button.

What do the Like, Share, and Report buttons within a published doc do?

When you open a doc from the Gallery, you may see a Like button (thumbs up symbol), Share button, and Report button in the bottom-right corner or along the left-hand side. Here are some details on what each of those buttons do:

  • Liking a doc is a lightweight way to show the author you enjoyed what they made.

  • When you click this Share button, a menu will pop up to give you options to share in a few different ways, including via Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn. You can also choose the Copy link to quickly grab the link to share as needed.

  • The Report button allows you to flag documents that you believe violate Coda's Publishing Policies so that they may be reviewed and have appropriate action taken on them.
