Learn how to use keyboard shortcuts in Coda to more efficiently navigate your documents, format text, and manage your workspace.

Keyboard shortcuts are a great way to save time and work faster in Coda. Many of the standard keyboard shortcuts work seamlessly in Coda, and we also have some Coda-specific shortcuts available.

This article contains the full list of keyboard shortcuts for both Mac and PC. You can also pull up this list in the product by simply typing Ctrl + / on a Mac, or Ctrl + Shift + / on a PC.

General

  • Cut: ⌘ + X

  • Copy: ⌘ + C

  • Paste ⌘ + V

  • Undo: ⌘ + Z

  • Redo: ⌘ + Shift + Z

  • Search: ⌘ + Shift + F

  • Previous page: ⌘ + Option + [

  • Next page: ⌘ + Option + ] 

  • Open explore planel: ⌘ + /

  • Toggle page list: ⌘ + \

  • Show word count: ⌘ + Shift + C

  • Present doc: ⌘ + Shift + P

  • Expand and show pages list: ⌘ + \

  • Go to highlighted page link: Enter

  • Move from subpage to parent page: Shift + Esc

  • Collapse all content Cmd + . to expand or collapse the current section, and use Cmd + Opt + . to expand or collapse all sections.

Text

  • Bold: ⌘ + B

  • Italic: ⌘ + I

  • Underline: ⌘ + U

  • Strikethrough: ⌘ + Shift + K

  • Inline Code: ` (with selected text)

  • Expand Cell: ⌘ + Shift + E

Paragraph

  • Normal: ⌘ + Option + 0

  • Large header: ⌘ + Option + 1

  • Medium header: ⌘ + Option + 2

  • Small header: ⌘ + Option + 3

  • Numbered list: ⌘ + Shift + 7

  • Bulleted list: ⌘ + Shift + 8

  • Checklist: ⌘ + Shift + 9

  • Collapsible list: ⌘ + Shift + 0

  • Block quote: ⌘ + Shift + .

  • Pull quote: ⌘ + Shift + '

Tables

  • Open a row: Option + Space

  • Select a row: Shift + Space

  • Select multiple rows: Shift + ⬆ or ⬇

  • Move a row: Option + ⬆ or ⬇

  • Move a column: Option + ← or →

  • Insert a row: Enter (from last row in table)

  • Insert a column: Tab (when last is column selected)

  • Move to end of row or column: ⌘ + ⬆, ⬇, ← or →

  • Edit a cell: Space or F2
