On October 29, Grammarly announced a new company name, Superhuman, and introduced a new AI productivity suite. Coda, acquired by Grammarly earlier this year, is now part of this suite alongside Grammarly's trusted writing assistance, Superhuman Mail's intelligent email experience, and a new AI assistant called Superhuman Go.
We know change can raise questions, so we want to be clear: your Coda experience remains the same today.
- Your docs, workflows, and Packs continue to work just as they always have.
- Your plan and pricing aren't changing.
- You can keep using Coda exactly the way you do now.
Below are answers to questions we expect you may have.
About the announcement
What was included in the announcement?
Grammarly rebranded as Superhuman and introduced a new AI productivity suite that brings together four products:
- Coda – Collaborative workspace for docs and workflows
- Grammarly – AI-powered writing assistance
- Superhuman Mail – Intelligent email management
- Superhuman Go – A new AI assistant that works across 1 million+ apps and websites
The launch also includes an agent marketplace built on the foundation of Coda's Pack platform. This marketplace will make it easier to discover, build, and share AI agents.
All four products can now be purchased as a bundle on superhuman.com.
Changes to Coda
Are there changes to the Coda product?
No. There are no changes to the Coda product at this time. Your docs, workflows, and Packs will continue to work just as they always have.
What will happen to my docs after this brand announcement and the launch of Superhuman Go?
Nothing. All your docs, data, and workflows remain exactly as they are.
Will Pack pricing change?
No. If you've already paid for and built your workflows using Packs, Pack pricing and functionality in Coda will not change.
Billing and plans
Does this brand change or product bundling impact my existing Coda billing account or plan?
No. The plan, pricing, and billing structure for your existing Coda workspaces will remain unchanged.
Are there changes to Maker Billing?
For Coda users and customers, there are no changes to maker billing. Maker billing continues to work exactly as it does today.
Note: The new Superhuman bundle (which includes Go, Mail, Grammarly, and Coda) is priced per seat, not per maker. Paid Superhuman subscribers will have access to a paid (Doc Maker) seat in Coda.
I’m an existing Coda customer. Do I automatically get access to the Superhuman suite?
No, though you can purchase a Superhuman bundle, then migrate your docs to the Superhuman workspace with the instructions here.
I'm an existing Coda customer. How can I upgrade to a Superhuman plan?
It is currently not possible to upgrade an existing Coda workspace to a Superhuman bundle plan.
If you’re interested in exploring the Superhuman bundle, which includes Coda, Grammarly, Mail, and Go, you can learn more at superhuman.com. If you sign up, a new Coda workspace will be created for you.
Your docs will not be automatically migrated from Coda to Superhuman at this time. You can manually move docs from your original Coda workspace to a Superhuman workspace by following the instructions here.
I'm an existing Coda customer, and I just created another Coda workspace through Superhuman. Can I merge my existing workspace(s) with the newly created workspace?
At this point, it isn't currently possible to merge Coda workspaces. If you wish, you can move all of your docs to the newly created workspace via these instructions.
I have multiple users in my current Coda workspace. How can I move them to the new Coda workspace I created through Superhuman?
The current Superhuman suite is primarily meant for individuals and small teams. If you have a few worksapce members, you can add them to your Superhuman workspace by following the steps here. Users can then manually transfer their docs over from one workspace to another. For larger teams and Enterprise users, please sign up for the waitlist to be informed when we have plan options for teams!
I'm an existing Coda customer. Can I upgrade my Coda plan without purchasing the Superhuman bundle?
Yes, existing Coda users and customers can upgrade their Coda workspace a la carte either through workspace settings, or by visiting coda.io/pricing.
About Coda Brain
What's happening to Coda Brain?
Coda Brain, our AI Enterprise Search app, was launched in Private Preview to explore how AI could help you understand and act on your company data. During this preview, we learned valuable insights about what teams need from AI collaboration and how to leverage the Packs connector ecosystem to power this platform.
The learnings and infrastructure from Coda Brain are being applied to our broader AI strategy through Superhuman Go, a new experience launching as part of the Superhuman suite. Go brings context-aware AI assistance everywhere you work. While this means we will be winding down our Coda Brain pilots, we’re excited to expand Go's capabilities with our expansive connector ecosystem.

Agents and future AI capabilities
Are there plans to launch agents natively in Coda?
The AI team is actively developing AI-native functionality for the Coda product. You can expect solution builder capabilities, native Go experiences, and agents that work inside and outside Coda, powered by the powerful Packs connector ecosystem.
What agents will be available for Coda plans?
Agents are not currently available natively within Coda itself. AI capabilities in Coda today remain focused on the existing AI features you may already be using - such as AI columns and AI blocks.
Agents are part of the Superhuman Go and Grammarly products, which work across multiple surfaces, including the browser extension and supported applications, like Coda.
What's next?
We're committed to continuing to make Coda the best place for teams to collaborate and get work done. The Superhuman brand represents our parent company's vision for unified AI productivity, and Coda will continue to benefit from this investment.
