  2. Search for and select Zoom Whiteboard Embed.

  3. To the right of Approve app, toggle the switch to approve the app.
The app authorization page will be displayed, providing details on required app permissions.

  4. Decide whether you’d like to enable it for all users on your account for specific users.

  5. Click Save.

Start embedding Zoom Whiteboards in Coda

Once you’ve installed the Zoom Whiteboard Embed app within Zoom, you can start embedding and linking Whiteboards in Coda.

First, you will need to grab either the URL or the embed code of the Whiteboard in Zoom. To copy the embed code, click on Share then, Get embed code, and copy the iframe code provided.

💡 Note that if you use the embed code, you will only be able to display the Whiteboard in Coda as an embed. If you copy the URL of the Whiteboard instead, you have more options for how it is displayed in Coda - including an embed, a rich link, and more.

Create an editable embed

To create an editable embed of your Zoom Whiteboard, follow these steps:

  1. Paste your copied URL or embed code (from Whiteboard) onto the page of your Coda doc

  2. If you pasted the URL, a Display as menu will appear. From the options, choose Embed.

  3. If you pasted the embed code from Whiteboard, just hit space or enter on your keyboard, and it will automatically be displayed as an embed.

  4. You may then be prompted to sign in to Zoom, to ensure you have the appropriate permissions to view the Whiteboard. Click Login to begin, then follow the prompts to sign in to your Zoom account.

Once you’ve completed the sign in process, you will see your live embed on the page. You can zoom in, scroll, edit, comment, and even share the Whiteboard - directly from Coda. Your editing and commenting abilities will match whatever permissions you've been granted in Zoom.

Create a rich card link

  1. First, ensure that you’ve copied the URL of the Whiteboard (rather than the embed code). Then paste this URL into a new link of a Coda doc.

  2. A Display as menu will appear. From the options, choose Packs cards.

    1. Note that if you’ve already installed the Zoom Whiteboard Pack in your doc, you will already see Zoom Whiteboard as an option and can select it directly.

  3. Select the Whiteboard option.

  4. If you haven’t yet installed the Zoom Whiteboard Pack in your doc, you will see a prompt to Connect to Zoom Whiteboard. Click this button to connect.

  5. Then click Sign in with Zoom Whiteboard.

  6. On the following screen, click Allow to confirm the connection.

  7. Finally, back in Coda, click Complete setup to finalize.
