Using Microsoft Outlook contacts in Coda

Reference and share with your teammates

Updated over 2 years ago

With the Outlook contacts integration, you can share with contacts from the Microsoft universe. Once you connect, typing a few letters in the share settings of your doc will pull up your contacts.

Note that this operates separately from the Microsoft Contacts Pack, which enables you to retrieve your contacts from Outlook in a sync table.

Connecting to Microsoft

Open the Share menu in the top right corner of the doc and start typing a name. In the list that appears, open the section labeled Microsoft Contacts:

Click Connect to authenticate with Microsoft, and a login page will open.

If you encounter an error message referencing admin approval, work with the IT team at your organization to get the application approved - see details below.

Connecting with Microsoft contacts: details for admins

To accept permissions for the Microsoft Contacts Coda integration, log into Coda from a Microsoft admin account and go through the flow above. You should be directed to a screen detailing the permissions needed and a checkbox to accept them. Complete the connection with Coda by checking the box and clicking Accept.
