How to hide pages from the visible page list.

Updated over a week ago

Hiding pages removes pages or subpages from the visible page list, helping to keep your doc clean and organized. These pages are not removed from the doc. Hidden pages are great for archiving content, storing pages that are not often interacted with, and for pages that are still a work in progress.

Please note, people with access to the doc can still choose to display hidden pages. The feature is intended to be used for doc readability and organization and is not a security feature.

Show hidden pages

By default, hidden pages are not visible, but any person with access to the doc can choose to show all hidden pages. For this reason, you should never use hidden pages as a means to enforce privacy or security.

To show hidden pages, click the 3 dots next to the doc title, and select Show hidden pages. Hidden pages will now appear in the page list in their original locations with a gray title. To return hidden pages to the hidden state, follow the same process, instead of Show hidden pages the option will now read Hide hidden pages.

This will not impact the visibility of hidden pages in the page list for other users. If other users would like to show or hide hidden pages, they will have to follow the same process.

Unhide a page

To unhide a page, right-click the page in the page list, or click on the 3 dots to the right of the doc title, and select Unhide. This will unhide the page for all users of the doc.
