Learn how to print pages from your doc, plus how to generate PDFs of your pages or entire docs.
If you have a doc or page of a doc that you’d like to share with someone as an un-editable file, like an invoice or summary, you can export that doc or page as a PDF directly from Coda. You can also use the same exporting feature to print pages of your Coda doc.

Export docs and pages as PDFs
The steps below outline how to export either your whole doc or individual pages from a doc as a PDF.
💡 Tip: If you're trying to export a single page, make sure to navigate to that page first before following these steps.
Click on the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the doc
Hover over Print & export. Then select Export to PDF.
You will see the option to export the entire doc, the page you’re currently on (this page), or the page you’re currently on and its subpages (this page + subpages). Select the option you'd like.
Choose either Landscape or Portrait orientation.
Under Advanced options, choose whether to include comments and whether to expand for wide tables.
Choose the desired size of the PDF.
Then click Export.
A few things to note:
You can only do one export at a time, so if you want to export multiple pages from a doc, you must wait until your PDF export request has finished before beginning another export.
Wide tables will not be shrunk to fit the page, which may result in columns from wide tables being cut off in the exported PDF. We recommend trying the landscape orientation for these cases.
Hyperlinks are clickable in a PDF and will bring you to the indicated website, but linked references within the doc (such as people, tables, rows, or pages) are not clickable, and won’t navigate to the reference within Coda.
Print docs and pages
Currently, Coda supports printing only individual pages from your doc. If you would like to print an entire doc, or a page and its subpages, we recommend exporting your doc to PDF and then printing via the PDF viewer/editor of your choosing. You can follow the steps above to generate that PDF.
Print a page
There are two ways to print a page from your Coda doc:
Click on the three-dot menu in the top right of the doc. Hover over Print & export, then select Print.
Use keyboard shortcuts: Command+P on Mac, or Ctrl+P on PC.
FAQs
Why are the tables cut off in my PDF or printed page?
Wide tables aren’t automatically shrunk to fit when exporting to a PDF. But if you have wide tables, you can toggle on the Expand for wide tables option in the Export window. This will result in a wider PDF to better capture the contents of your table.
How do I export just one page from a doc?
If you are exporting one page, click into that page in your Coda doc. Then follow the steps in the section above to initiate the export. Be sure to choose this page in the export options.
Why am I getting an error when I try to export my doc as a PDF?
The doc might be too big for us to export as a PDF. If that’s the case, we recommend exporting individual pages instead, or breaking up your pages into smaller subpages if your page is too big to export, too.
Are page comments included when printing or exporting?
You can choose whether or not to include comments when exporting. Look for the Include comments toggle in the export window, before you hit the Export button.
How can I customize the formatting or layout of my printed doc?
You can choose your orientation (landscape or portrait) and paper size during the export process, and many browsers support other settings, like margins or scale.
Can I disable the exporting of docs for my org?
If you're an Enterprise org admin, you do have the option to turn off the exporting of docs by members in your organization. Check out this article to learn more.
