With Coda, each doc can have its own time zone. This allows teams to work in the time zone of their choice. Your chosen time zone will apply to everyone in the doc, and will be used for automations, formulas, calendars, timelines, and more.

Change your doc’s time zone
ℹ️ If we support the timezone you are in, then we will default to the time zone of the browser when you create a new doc. If we do not yet support your timezone we will default your doc to PST (pacific standard time).
To change the time zone of an existing doc, follow these steps:
Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the doc
Select Region and dates from the menu
Click into the Time zone dropdown, and choose your desired time zone from the list. See the section below on supported time zones.
You will see a window notifying you that this action will change the time zone for everyone in the doc. To complete the change, choose either Convert times or Keep times.
If you select Convert times, you will change all manually entered values to the new time zone. For example, 10:00 EET will become 19:00 PST.
If you select Keep times, manually entered values will remain the same but set in the new timezone. For example, 10:00 EET will become 10:00 PST.
Now the doc’s time zone has been changed. The new time zone will apply to all collaborators in the doc. The following changes also occur:
Automations will run in the updated doc time zone
Calculated formulas will show values in the updated doc time zone
Timestamps for row activity & comments will show in the user's local time zone
Set the time zone for all future docs
If you want all future docs you create to have a specific time zone, you can set this preference in your account settings. Just follow the steps below:
In any doc, click on your avatar in the upper right corner
Select account settings
Find the New document default section
Click into the Time zone dropdown, and choose the desired time zone from the list.
That’s it! All new docs you create will now automatically have that time zone. If you need to change any specific docs to a different time zone, you can do so via the steps in the previous section.
Time zone formulas
You also have access to two time zone formulas to help you see what the current browser and document timezones are:
CurrentTimezone() - Returns the time zone of the user accessing to the doc
DocumentTimezone() - returns the time zone of the document which may be different from the CurrentTimezone
Now(), Today(), and other time-based formulas will reflect the doc's time zone
Calendars and timelines
You can also customize a calendar view or timeline's time zone. New calendars and timeline charts will default to the timezone of the doc, but you have a few options to change it for your scenario:
Match the calendar or timeline chart's timezone and the doc's timezone
Match the calendar or timeline chart's timezone to the user viewing it using the user's computer's timezone
To update the time zone for a calendar or timeline, follow these steps:
Hover over the calendar or timeline, and click Options in the upper right corner
From the menu, choose Calendar display or Timeline display
Find the Time zone field and make your selection
Supported time zones
Coda currently supports a wide range of timezones, including most time zones in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand as well as select other regions worldwide. Due to complexities in timezone data, certain timezones are not yet available. If your specific location is not in the list, you may be able to choose a different location in the same timezone, or an alternative location with the same UTC offset.

Yes. If you change your time zone then we will keep the value of the time-based trigger and update it to the new time zone. For example, 5:00pm PST will be 5:00pm JSP.
